FROG

Sindhudurg district is very famous for tourism, similarly in the last few years tourists come to see the beauty of nature, in the same way now tourists from the country and abroad come to Sindhudurg to study biodiversity in Sindhudurg, to take pictures or to study some species of amphibians in the of Sindhudurg. A total of 27 species of frogs are found in Sindhudurg district of Western Ghats, including rare endemic species like Malabar gliding frog, Northern dancing frog, Amboli toad, Malabar tree toad. In Sindhudurg district we find different species of frogs in different habitats like swamps, wetlands, tropical evergreen forests and so on and due to the study of these different frogs the different habitats of Sindhudurg are also being conserved.
